  1. I enjoyed most about the book was when Howie was trying to do something to help his teacher Miss. Gossim. He had a lot of Adventures that he went trough like making a petition for her and to give it to his principles boss. What I didn’t like in this book is when his Pops was home and he even talk about him. I mean we should have a ton of examples like what he did in the war and were he was at this hole time. I think the story ended in a happy ending. Why because his teacher was happy and even do he moved it looks like he was happy with his life even do he misses his friends that doesn't mean to he can make new friends and still visit his old friends. I wish that Denny's father didn’t die. Because it would make the story even happier to see that Denny and his dad were finally together after all this time and to see what he looked like.

  2. What I enjoyed most about the book was how Howie had a lot of confidence in getting Miss Gossim to be rehired. I didn't like how when Howie moved away Denny stopped being his friend for no reason, didn't even respond when Howie sent him a post card. The least he could have done was say why he wouldn't be his friend anymore. I didn't like the way the book ended because it doesn't make sense, why he moved away, Denny stopped being his friend, and how he thought of Miss Gossim every night. It just didn't make sense to cram a bunch of non understandable sentences. What i wished that would've happened but didn't was that, Miss Gossim got to stay at there school, Denny would stay his friend, and Howie never moved away.

  3. The most enjoying part of the book is when Howie and a lot went to Mrs.Walton's house the first time. The thing i liked about is how everyone wanted to help Miss Gossim from getting fire
One thing I wished AVI did not have Denny’s dad died and Denny’s dad should have came to Brooklyn New York.

  4. The thing that I most enjoyed was that even though Howie got shut down by Mrs. Gossim he still tried this showed me that what ever your doing you should never give up no matter what. One thing I didn't like was at the end of the book Denny's dad dies Howie moves away Mrs. Gossim moves away Denny and Howie's friendship is broken.NO I hated the end of the book I would rather happy endings over sad endings I wished that One Denny's father didn't die and two Howie wouldn't have moved away.

  5. What I enjoyed the most about this book was that Howie really tried to help and I admire that. The thing that I didn’t like about the book was that at the end Howie moves away and Denny isn’t his friend any more. I think that it ended just fine because it show something you wouldn't expect. I wished that Howie didn’t move away and Denny didn’t leave him.

  6. What I enjoyed most about the book is the character description, it explains a lot about each character like how Miss.Gossim was the nicest teacher in the world, and Denny was Howie’s best friend. And that they had a no secret thing where they can’t keep a secret from each other. What I didn't like about the book is that it Miss.Gossim didn't come back at the end like she said she would to Howie. I thought the story ended pretty good, but what I wish that happened at the end is then Howie saw Miss.Gossim and Smitty.

  8. I liked the book because Howie and Denny stopped Mrs. Wolch and Mr. Lomester from firing Miss Gossim by talking to Mrs Wolch. What I didn't like is that Miss Gossim just left the book which I thought was pretty dumb. I also didn't like how in the end Denny just befriend Howie.

  9. A: What I liked about the book is that is has a kids dad who is in world war two and it left me with questions and suspense. What I Didn't like this book because the topic of what Howie does is kind of boring. I thought the story ended perfectly because it gives Howie another chance since he moved to an island. And the 4th and final reason is he never got in trouble with the guy when the sirens went off.
